Switching

Keep annual testing on schedule

  1. Export what you can

If you can still reach your hearX Cloud account, download every audiogram and PDF report. OSHA requires audiograms to be kept for the length of employment.

  2. Confirm your baselines

Identify each employee's baseline audiogram. Every future threshold shift is measured against it, so it has to come across intact.

  3. Import into AudiVault

Bring the history in by CSV so baselines and annual tests sit in one record per employee.

  4. Calibrate and test

Calibrate the iPad audiometer with your headphones, run the daily check, and continue annual testing without a gap.

Switching from hearTest

Will my hearX hearTest devices keep working?

According to hearX's product page, after cloud-connected services are discontinued, affected hearX devices and applications "may no longer operate, or may not operate as intended." Check directly with LXE Hearing about your specific devices.

Can I move my hearTest audiograms into AudiVault?

Yes, if you can export them. AudiVault imports audiogram history from CSV files, so baselines and past annual tests can sit in the same record as new tests from the iPad audiometer.

Can I keep using my DD450 headphones?

The AudiVault iPad audiometer includes reference levels for the RadioEar DD450. Headphones must be calibrated together with the iPad audiometer before testing.

Is AudiVault booth-less like hearTest?

No. AudiVault does not monitor room noise during the test. Test in a booth or in a room you have measured to be within the OSHA Appendix D background noise limits.
